Privacy policy

Discgolfer, by Daniel Storm. Last updated 15 October 2026.

In short

Discgolfer has no accounts and collects no personal data. What you pick in the app is kept on your device only.

Player data

When you type your PDGA number, or open a player, the app asks our server, which asks the PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association) and passes on public player data: name, PDGA number, home town, class, rating, and round ratings and results. The app sends our server the PDGA number, and the ids of the events it remembers for that player (below), nothing else.

The server runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Stockholm, behind AWS CloudFront. Like any internet service it sees your IP address when the app asks it something. We keep no logs of who asked for what. The app itself never contacts the PDGA.

On your device

The app keeps, on your device only:

None of it is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

App updates

The app checks for updates to its own code with Expo (EAS Update), which, like any internet service, sees your IP address. It sends nothing about you or the players you open.

Links to other apps and websites

Player and event names link to their pages on pdga.com. There, pdga.com's own terms and privacy policy apply.

What the app doesn't do

Apple

If you've chosen in your iPhone's settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us anonymous statistics and crash reports. That's governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by the app.

Children

The app isn't aimed at children and collects no data about anyone.

Changes

If the way the app handles data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
